Dock Team Member

Overview
 
America’s Thrift Stores is currently looking for a Dock Team Member (Material Handler / Unloader) to join our team. America’s Thrift Stores takes in millions of pounds of donated items to be unloaded at each store. To unload the products results in repeated bending, stretching, twisting and lifting as well standing for 3 hours to up to 7 hours a day. Selected individuals are responsible, at times, for riding along with the drivers to pick up donations. Daily accuracy of weighing products unloaded is necessary for inventory control and accountability. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•	Counts, weighs, measures incoming and outgoing shipments
•	Moves materials to point of need on time
•	Documents movement and weights in required tracking system
•	Identifies shortage and increases, while documenting discrepancies and communicating issues to management
•	Operates material handling equipment safely, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE)
•	Performs equipment inspection, documenting inspection equipment and subsequent actions
•	Ability to lift 50lbs and push 125lbs

A high school diploma preferred
