About this job

Job Description:

  • Provide primary day-to-day system support for Giant Eagle Pharmacies
  • Troubleshoot and document root cause analysis for all Pharmacy related issues
  • Create, maintain, and organize program and system documentation according to established procedures to facilitate ongoing support and maintenance of Pharmacy systems and programs.
  • Read and understand system logs and data within databases in order to find root cause of issues.
  • Design and write efficient, complicated modules or complex programs to meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinate systems analysis, development and implementation activities to ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Prevent unauthorized access to information, assets or restricted areas and report any attempts.
  • Maintain communication and participate in knowledge sharing with vendors and the Pharmacy Support team.
  • Communicate effectively with non-IT personnel daily so that they are able to converse back.
  • Report any type of problems to the appropriate management in a timely manner.
  • Participate in after-hours rotational on-call support.
  • Participate in all education and on-the-job training programs as recommended by IT management.
  • Maintain cognizance of industry trends and new products to evaluate opportunities for achieving maximum effective usage of company¿s investment in information technology.

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree Computer Science, Information Systems or related field

Experience Level:

  • 6 months to 1 year
