Summary / Objective: Execute catering orders at the highest level of satisfaction for our guests & continually source new clientele through canvassing and local store marketing efforts.  

 

Operational Execution Q1-Q4

  • Train and staff drivers to execute all catering orders completely and correctly in a timely fashion.

  • Effectively route drivers for all delivery orders in assigned market.

  • Achieve and maintain a catering execution rate of 99.5% or above at all times.

  • Deliver 3-5 orders per week as needed, also ensuring they are correct and on time.

  • Effectively manage 3rd party delivery services such as Door Dash or I Deliver That to staff deliveries as needed.

  • Attend all large and full service orders.

  • Make recommendations to AM for resolution on any service or execution concerns for the AM’s follow up.

  • Complete one QSC per week.

  • Maintain delivery equipment/make recommendations to Area Manager for repairs/replacements.

  • Make daily follow up calls on all orders to thank the guest for choosing Boston Market, make sure everything went well, and ask if we can serve them again.  Log these calls in Voyager program.

     

    Sales Building Q1-Q3*

  • Spend 50% of time on canvassing for new business to generate sales, building to a goal of 100 orders per week in their market.

  • Communicate leads to Catering Sales Specialist or contractor for their market for follow up and continual sales closing.  Includes sharing indicators from conversation with the lead and perceptions on when they might buy, what they cater for, and when the CSS should follow up.  Create hot & warm leads in eMarket with these indicators & send Voyager task to CSS to follow up on lead.

  • Complete/attend continual training provided by the Director, Catering Sales Support, related to the COS role.

  • Send weekly recap at close of business Friday indicating prospecting efforts for the week.  Copy AM, DO, and Director, Catering Sales Support for your area.

  • *Due to the high volume of catering in Q4, sales building duties may be modified for that quarter.

Work Environment

Work begins and ends in home environment; travel throughout the day to restaurants and to guest delivery sites as well as canvassing businesses in high and mid volume trade areas is required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with some weekend driver assignment or delivery coverage needed; and some overtime may be required. In Q4 more additional hours may be mandatory.

  Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience. 

  • 1+ years of restaurant experience and/or food delivery experience.

  • 1-3 years of experience interacting and creating relationships with internal and external customers of all levels and skill sets.

  • Learns computer functions related to order placing & viewing platforms as well as customer database information entry.

     

    Preferred Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience. 

  • 1+ years of sales experience.

  • 3+ years of restaurant and/or food delivery experience.
