Catering Team Lead Join our Team! The is an hourly partner position, that can be considered to be a promoted employee of NEWK's or an applicant with catering preparation experience and reports to the Director of Catering and Sales. In the morning, the Catering Team Leader main focus is all the functions that are related to ensuring a successful day of catering including food prep, food presentation and food delivery. However, when deliveries and catering assembly are finished for the day, the Catering Team Leader is also responsible for hourly responsibilities within restaurant. The Catering Team Leader must know how to efficiently execute the catering order process from receiving orders, prepare food orders, to delivering orders effectively. Must be competent in assembling the catering orders and checking orders to ensure accuracy and successfully implement the NEWK’s Accuracy Plan. Must be available to receive, prepare, and deliver orders on time, according to specifications, with a SMILE. When orders are delivered we are not merely dropping off food but transferring our products throughout the community in order to be successful with this, the Catering Team Leader must be friendly, polite, accommodating to needs of guests and to be on time.
Knowledge and Skill Required Must have a valid drivers license and insurance Excellent communications and guest service skills High School diploma or equivalent preferred (college a plus) Physical Requirements Extensive standing without breaks. Exposure to heat, smoke and cold. Reaching heights of approximately six feet and depths of approximately three ft. Must have high level of mobility/flexibility in space provided for periods of up to eight hours or longer as needed. Effective communication with guests. Carrying trays of food products weighing approximately 20 lbs for distances of up to 60 ft. Lifting up to 25 pounds.
