Summary:
The Production Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all broiled, fried and specialty items are
cooked and prepared following the Burger King Production schedule and as sales demand; ensuring that
the direct preparation of all finished products have met Burger King’s product quality and speed standards
in order to prevent delay with food preparation and output; monitoring the cooks to ensure that
preparation tasks are completed, and maintaining the smooth flow of work between stations. The
Production Coordinator is also responsible for coaching the kitchen team on the proper food safety
procedures, product preparation procedures and equipment function standards and performing all other
responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. This is a non-exempt
position and typically reports to the Operations Manager, Assistant Operations Manager, or Operations
Director depending upon local requirements.
Essential Functions:
 Coordinates the flow of the production schedule to ensure that all food items produced meet with
Burger King Product standards.
 Ensures proper portion control in the preparation of food and proper food handling procedures
are followed including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking
temperature of products
 Ensures proper product rotation and correct Product Holding Unit procedures are followed
 Responsible for coordinating all orders received in the kitchen to ensure orders are processed
timely and in the order in which they are received;
 Serves as a liaison between the kitchen and the cashiers to help properly prepare and distribute
food, and to encourage teamwork and morale
 Maintains product quality standards (measured by product checks and guest comments)
 Follows kitchen cleanliness guidelines, sanitation standards and safety procedures that have
been established by the Company and Branch, and ensures that waste is managed within
standard

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:
 Requires a High School diploma or the equivalent (GED)
 Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and
policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
 Requires the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and
outgoing manner
 Requires knowing the menu items served and being able to knowledgeably explain the major
ingredients and preparation methods for each item
 Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate with team members
 Demonstrates the ability to prioritize activities, make decisions during cook cycles and to solve
problems quickly and effectively
 Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
 Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
 Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions
