Cashier - Full-time / Part-time

Frattallone's Ace Hardware and Garden Centers are a family-owned business with 21 locations across the metro area! We are currently seeking Helpful, Hardworking, Honest, and Happy employees.

We are looking to hire a part-time cashiers. Several shifts available including days, evenings, weekends.

Experience in retail, hardware or gardening is a plus, but not a requirement. We are willing to train the right candidate. This is a great position for a college students, retirees, or stay at home parents looking for a part time job while their kid(s) are in school or anyone interested in working in their neighborhood.

Responsibilities Include:
•	Customer Service – Answers customer questions, whether in person or on phone, on the products and services we offer.  Always remains courteous when in the consultant role.  Sets the example of retail excitement and ensures that all employees do the same.
•	Greets customers as they enter the store and thanks them when they leave the store.
•	Communicates with customers, management and staff both in person and by telephone.
•	Operates all point-of-sale equipment with speed and accuracy to avoid placing a burden on other employees or reducing the level of service to customers.
•	Writes up charges, rental slips, special orders and rain checks.
•	Processes checks and counts cash accurately.
•	Watches for shoplifters and takes action in line with company policy that will discourage shoplifting.
•	Watches for customers who may need assistance and provides needed advice or information.
•	Keeps checkout area orderly, maintains an adequate supply of forms, etc. for prompt service.
•	Answers incoming phone calls; pages or takes messages when appropriate.
•	Processes merchandise returns and exchanges.
•	Makes signs for displays; re-does checkout area merchandise displays as needed.
•	Makes keys, gives out store applications, makes add-on sales and points out sale flyers.
•	Other duties as assigned by store management.
