Frattallone's Ace Hardware and Garden Center is a family-owned business with 21 stores located throughout the metro area. We are currently seeking Assistant Managers with experience working in a retail environment for several of our locations including New Hope, St. Louis Park, Minnetonka, and Minneapolis-Uptown. This individual will possess a positive attitude, understand the sales process, can lead a team, have a high level of energy, be extremely detail orientated, have excellent communication skills, and awesome customer service skills. We prefer hardware experience but will train the right person.

This full-time position is responsible for management duties assigned by the owners, district manager, or store manager. This includes, but is not limited to, supervision of personnel, maintaining the operating budget, working on special projects, supervising inventory, merchandising, pricing, and facilitating communications between management and staff.

You will be working 96 hours per two week pay period, working closing shifts at least once a week and every other weekend.

You must have experience in the retail industry and working experience in the following areas:

- Communicates effectively with owner, management, employees and customers.

- Customer Service -- Answers customer questions, whether in person or on phone, on the products and services we offer.

- Interprets information presented in numerical and/or statistical form to perform inventory, pricing, and merchandising responsibilities.

- Act as store manager in the absence of the store manager.

- Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, or in performing services for customers.

- Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods.

- Achieves sales and labor productivity goals set by management.

- Develop promotions to build store traffic; understands and uses display techniques that produce the highest sales possible.

- Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.

- Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
