Funeral Service Associate (Asheville)

Asheville funeral home seeking a Funeral Service Associate to assist our funeral directors.  This position interacts directly with client families during their time of need and is responsible for creating and maintaining a premier level of client family satisfaction. The Funeral Associate will set-up and assist with receptions, funeral services, memorial services, etc.  Performs a variety of tasks day-to-day as well as during funerals and receptions, assisting funeral directors and ensuring that services run smoothly as planned. Greet and receive client families and/or other persons entering the office for information and assistance.  Receive and Transport human remains in a safe and dignified manner. Assist with the maintenance of vehicles, the facility and property; receive caskets and other funeral home supplies.  Carry out other duties and responsibilities that may be reasonably delegated by management. High school diploma or equivalent required.  Essential job duties will include ability to lift, carry and transport in excess of 75 pounds. A 40-hour work week with a specified schedule including every other weekend on duty and a total of 4 days off every two weeks. A competitive wage and benefit package offered.
