JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, Production Employees are responsible for working on assembly lines and producing quality units in a timely manner based on the order specifications. This work may involve operating equipment at times. All Cobalt Packaging employees must adhere to factory safety guidelines and standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate must be able to work 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday during our normal schedule.
  • Experience in assembly / packaging preferred but not necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, team oriented, ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Must be quality driven.
  • Must be able to stand 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to lift up-to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to stoop and bend.
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination.
  • Must be able to read or comprehend specific instructions in English.
  • Must be self-starter/ motivated.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Makes sure that work station is clean and free of hazardous materials at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • May start assembly and production machinery at beginning of shift.
  • Cleans equipment (i.e. conveyor belts, tables)
  • Assembles product parts by hand or by using the aide of equipment.
  • Inspects assembled products to ensure they meet specified quality standards.
  • Identifies and removes faulty product parts from assembly line.
  • Packs up completed products and prepares them for shipment.
  • Keeps factory floor clean.
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines dictating the production and handling of materials in the factory.
  • Ensures that all production deadlines are met.
  • Reports issues or problems with production to immediate supervisor.
  • Additional duties may pertain.

Responsible for knowing and adhering to all relevant documented SOP's as well as Quality and Safety procedures.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
At least one year in a manufacturing roll is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent communication skills are required. Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating/ maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals is required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals is required. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages is preferred.

REASONING ABILITY
Must possess the ability to solve practical problems, deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
