Job Summary:
The purpose of a barista at Aroma Joe’s is to serve high quality, specialty drinks and snacks fast and with a smile. She/he works as a team member to make sure Aroma Joe’s extremely high standard for the best customer service is provided to every customer. A barista knows all Aroma Joe’s recipes, procedures and quality standards to make every drink in a timely and efficient manner. The AJ Barista anticipates questions and focuses on every customer as an individual deserving excellent service. The Barista is each customers’ friendly guide to a great Aroma Joes beverage or snack.

Job Duties:
Essential functions:
 Drink Making – Making quality drinks in a timely manner.
 Customer Service – Responsible for being friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the menu and recipes.
 Cleaning – Maintaining a clean workplace is important for customer safety and protecting the brand.
Additional responsibilities:
 Communication – Barista must communicate well with other Baristas, Team Leader and customers.
 Problem Solve – It is important to be ready for custom requests, unexpected rushes and equipment malfunctions.

Accountabilities:
An Aroma Joe’s barista always places the customer first. They are responsible for all aspects of the transaction, from greeting the customer, to making the drink/food to completing the order and finalizing the transaction. Accuracy of recipes, speed of transaction and an infusion of personality is the baristas constant focus. When a barista has no current customers, they are responsible for BOH (back of the house) and FOH (front of the house) duties. Brewing coffee, stocking inventory, prepping commonly used ingredients and cleaning in order to prepare for the next customers’ experience. The barista accomplishes tasks given to them with motivation and energy to be the best team member possible. The AJ barista is a part of a family business, a new culture in beverage service and new drive thru or counter experience. Every role and duty has importance to the overall team and ultimately the customer. An Aroma Joe’s barista communicates clearly and respectfully to customers, team leaders and their fellow baristas.

Job Specifications:
With experienced training, a barista possesses speed and accuracy to properly make drinks and serve customers. They possess the knowledge of all recipes in order to ensure consistency and quality of all products. A barista understands the functionality of all equipment in order to operate it properly and efficiently to make the customers’ experience the best possible. An Aroma Joe’s barista possesses people skills in order to serve the customer directly throughout the ordering process with eye contact and a friendly smile. Aroma Joe’s baristas balance an upbeat friendly attitude with a high level of mixology experience to ensure great service.
