PACKER-MILL ROOM

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for operation of all packaging equipment and to package any product assigned.

Duties or Activities Required by Job:

• Shall be responsible and aware of their surroundings and activities to ensure that they perform their tasks safely and efficiently.
• The Packer shall be responsible for safety through leading by example on Golden safety rules Lock out Tag Out, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Suspended Load, and Machine guarding and other safety initiatives.
• The Packer shall be aware of environmental management through leading by example of Environmental Management Programs
• The Packer shall be responsible for food safety and quality monitoring.
• Responsible for filling out set up sheets required for that days production run.
• Stack and palletize product.
• Maintains and control necessary records of product and material.
• Working on production lines requires employees to rotate between 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd shifts and not necessarily in that order. An employee will rotate to any shift at any given time as need by scheduler.
• Working on production lines requires an employee to work over time as needed by his/her supervisor with short notice.
• Completes inventory control documentation clearly and accurately.

• Responsible for complying with all the safety aspects of this area recognizing and participate in Safety Behavior Observations.

• Perform quality assurance for appearance and fill package weight.
• Promptly notifies Cell leader of any difficulties that may arise which would impair packaging functions, changes in product quality or efficiency of responsibility.
• Responsible for overall quality of the packaged goods (i.e. insure labels are legible)

• Communicate well with team members, leads, other coworkers and supervisors.
• Responsible for keeping the packaging area cleaned.
• Team player with a positive attitude; must rotate to other assignments during the day, i.e. walkie stacker, sweeping and general cleaning throughout the shift.
• Must be able to be cross trained in other operation areas.

Requirements: Must be able to stand over 5 hrs and lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to walk, bend, climb, over head reaching and gripping. Must be able to rotate to all shifts (days, swing, and graveyard). Must be able to read and write English.

Requires ability the use of heavy equipment (Walker Stacker, Forklift, and High Lift).

Pride Staff mandatory hiring requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States plus valid picture ID
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug and background check
• Must have reliable means of transportation
• Must be able to provide at least 2 professional references from recent supervisors managers or employers.
