JOB SUMMARY

 

The Senior Manager, Cobrand Sales Strategy and Acquisition Analytics is a highly visible role on the Cobrand Card team and will be the lead for developing and implementing Cobrand’s in person sales strategy across multiple areas inside Marriott including timeshares, group sales and travel agent relationships.  The Senior Manager will build out the strategy and tactics for how Cobrand cards can be integrated into the sales process including developing the product offer strategy, determining what the goals should be for each channel in partnership with both channel owners, bank partners and the Cobrand acquisition leadership, providing sales support materials and context to the channels and building and nurturing relationships with those channels to ensure they grow to be a major source of cobrand growth. 

In addition, this role will be responsible for managing and enhancing Cobrand’s acquisition reporting and analytics roadmap in partnership with CX, Digital and the leadership team of the Cobrand business.  This function will be critical to effectively manage and grow our business on an ongoing basis.  Cobrand is a critical business whose results are regularly reported at the most senior levels of the organization and this Senior Manager will play a key role in ensuring accuracy and efficiency of both forecasts and results.

The individual will focus primarily on projects in the following areas:

  • Product Offer Strategy for Sales to determine the appropriate product mix and key benefits for timeshares, group sales and travel agent partnerships
  • Marketing Asset Development and Delivery an entirely new set of marketing materials and assets will need to be developed in conjunction with both our internal sales teams and with Marriott’s two bank partners who issue cobranded card products.
  • Work across organization to influence the sales strategy for cobrand in our channels including establishing and developing key internal relationships and understanding each organization’s goals and objectives
  • Enhance, run and manage Cobrand’s ongoing forecasting and reporting needs the business does regular forecasts to determine performance against goals.  This role will play a critical role in ensuring that reporting and forecasting across the business is maintained, enhanced and socialized and will be responsible for the development and maintenance of a monthly reporting dashboard.
 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 

Education and Experience Required

 
  • Minimum of five years of work experience which includes leading and executing successful projects and initiatives in large, complex organizations
  • Proven track record of leading large cross functional technology and business projects with major bottom line impact in large, complex organizations, using a variety of analysis, development and delivery methodologies
  • Comfort and passion for metrics, measurement and financial impacts
  • Demonstrated experience in working with and influencing cross-functional work teams in a matrix organization.
  • Experience with either sales or sales support  
  • Hospitality/Lodging industry experience, a plus.
  • BA or BS required
  • MBA strongly preferred.

Project and Strategy Leadership

Develops and deploys sales strategy and support across internal organizations. Supports VP of Acquisition in leading regular reporting and forecasting exercises across issuers. 

  • Develop approach, product mix, positioning and sales support across timeshare, group sales and travel agents all of which will differ slightly.
  • Determine needs for each channel in terms of materials, support, measurement, and feedback
  • Work with Cobrand leadership and bank partners to adjust strategy and tactics as needed and set goals for each channel
  • Run quarterly bottoms up forecasting exercises and determine how to improve them as well as enhancing our regular internal reporting
  • Actively engage internal and external partners (e.g. Sales, Brand, CX, Finance, banks) to prepare content for communication materials as needed for deployment of initiatives.
