A Confidential Company is looking for Junior Recruiter to be part of our Recruiting team in the Woodbridge/Manassas, VA. This is a perfect opportunity for the right candidate looking to gain experience in recruiting field.

This position is in the Woodbridge/Manassas, VA area and the ideal candidate will have a passion for engaging applicants in a fast-paced environment in VIRGINIA, whether over the phone, in-person or by video conference and uses creativity to engage, excite and assist applicants through the hiring process

Recruiter Job Responsibilities:
  • Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates; advising managers; managing job postings and resume pipeline.
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.
  • Engages applicants and uses job sites i.e. (CareerBuilder, Craigslist, Indeed etc.) to search and cold-call potential applicants
  • Pre-screen candidates to determine viability for open positions; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements; arranges candidate interviews.
  • Partner with marketing to expand Employer brand through Career Events, Job Fairs, Extensive Community Networking and community outreach events.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Recruiter Skills and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma (or higher) - 2+ years of experience in recruiting/staffing for security, retail or related role - Intermediate skill level required for Microsoft Office, Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Detail-oriented with solid time management skills - Ability to multi-task and handle heavy call volume both inbound and outbound -
  • Enjoy working in fast-paced environment; supports diversity
  • Not flustered by urgent requests
  • Able to maintain robust applicant pipeline, engaging candidates for on-demand and future opportunities, and ensuring they move quickly through the process
  • Full business references and proven work history; understanding of HR and employment law
  • This position requires someone who is analytical with a sense of urgency and follow up and proficient in Microsoft Office including MS Excel.
