Materials Specialist - Full-time / Part-time

A Springfield parts re-manufacturing company is currently seeking a Materials Specialist.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments
• Accurately pull and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications
• Prepare items for shipment, any needed packaging, labeling, including wrapping and weighing the pallet
• Determine method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes,
  and rates
• Affix shipping labels on packed cartons
• Unpack, examine and route incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record
  shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. 
• Accuracy when counting parts, both incoming and outgoing
• Combine like parts into locations
• Exhibit safe working habits and a positive team spirit
• Operate a fork truck to lift, both sit down and stand up, move or hoist shipping/receiving materials from the shipping/receiving area to storage or work area
• Operate JLG
• Put product into proper locations
• Combine parts as needed
• Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous
  quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental standards
• Ensure all EMS guidelines and regulations are adhered to

Requirements:

• Meet shipping deadlines by working required hours, M-F 7:30 AM-4:00 PM, and be able to work any required overtime
• Above average attendance
• Maintain self-motivation and work with minimum supervision

 

Evaluation Hire

7:30 am-4:00 pm

$12.50/hour
