Talent identification and development is one of TJX’s key Business Priorities and is critical to our continued success. The Senior Executive Development/Learning & Development Specialist will play a key role supporting our talent strategies. In this Framingham, MA based role, you’ll aid in the facilitation and execution of key talent practices across all of our Home Office headquarters/corporate functions which include IT, Legal, Marketing, Finance, Product Development, Logistics, Real Estate, Global Buying Services, Buying and Sourcing Offices, and Corporate HR. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Corporate Talent Lead, you will partner with the key functions that enable a fast-paced retail business, so no day will be the same! He/she will be assigned a mix of core responsibilities as well as special projects which will enable our HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to support managers and executives across all the functions in developing talent for continued growth. The Sr. Specialist will partner with HRBPs and the Corporate Talent Lead to execute the programs and activities that identify, develop, and accelerate talent in the Corporate Division.

Key Focus Areas:
  • Oversee and monitor the on-going execution of Talent Review, which includes organizational planning, succession planning, identification of high potential talent, and planning of development solutions to ensure maximum effectiveness and consistency in developing high potential leaders for the Corporate Division.
  • Oversee and monitor assessment processes and professional development initiatives
  • Analyze data, identify themes, make recommendations, and facilitate Executive Development initiatives
  • Develop and organize resource materials to support HR Business Partners with all talent related processes
  • Establish strong partnerships with other Talent Specialists across TJX to leverage resources, as well as understand and share best practices

Responsibilities You Will Have:

  • Develop and execute processes that enable Talent Review, this includes communicating objectives and deadlines, following up with HR Business partners and leaders for information, ensuring consistency and accuracy of Talent information, and liaising with Global Talent Management to deliver a final product.
  • Develop and continuously improve procedures, tools and guidelines to ensure standardization and consistency for all talent-related processes for all Corporate functions
  • Assists with the creation and monitoring of the Corporate-wide project plan for Talent Review and ensures all components of the process run smoothly
  • Serve as a resource for questions from line management
  • Oversee database of confidential information regarding high potential talent, succession plans, developmental assignments and actions, etc.
  • Act as main department administrator for Talent Management System (TMS) Succession module.
  • Analyze and report on confidential data, make recommendations on both division-wide processes and individual development programs
  • Lead the development and creation of final products/presentations to be delivered to and utilized by Senior Executives
  • Oversees the Management Assessment and Development Processes for the Corporate functions:
    • Oversees and monitors the on-going execution of assessments to ensure the highest level of service to our clients
    • Ensures standardization and consistency across the organization by administering metrics
    • Acts as a liaison to key vendors to lead and resolve issues, requirements, changes, etc. that impact Corporate-wide leadership and professional development processes.
    • Facilitates the processes for nominated Learning and Development programs including Leaders Developing Leaders, Emerging Leaders Action Planning, Off-Price Leadership Center, and the Diversity programs.
    • Oversees the continual maintenance of master files and records of highly confidential data.
    • Tracks/projects progress, metrics and all related costs of projects and initiatives. Compares those initiatives to budget or plan, and provides input to annual budgeting process.
  • Utilize related HRIS and TMS software tools
  • Special Projects as assigned
Skills You Will Need To Be Successful:

  • Developed large-scale project/program management experience
  • Strong data analytical/problem solving skills along with focused attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively and influence at all levels of an organization including Executive leaders
  • Experience maintaining highly confidential and sensitive data appropriately
  • Demonstrated, training, material development, facilitation and coaching skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills along with demonstrated executive presence
  • Skilled at partnering and collaborating across Human Resources and business functions
  • Critical thinking; ability to make key connections and linkages, as well as recognize implications and interdependencies across different variables
  • Comfortable with technology including SharePoint, PowerPoint, MS Office Suite and various online tools
  • Experience with other HRIS and/or Learning Management System software packages a plus, Oracle or SAP Success Factors preferred
Education/Experience
  • 3-5 years professional HR experience in Professional Development, Learning & Development or other related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
