Sales Development Representative

InQuisient is seeking a professional, dynamic Sales Development Representative who is responsible for driving qualified leads and creating opportunities for the sales department.  InQuisient (http://www.inquisient.com/) is a Data Management software company with solutions in the Project Portfolio Management, Metadata Management and Enterprise Architecture quadrants. 

About the role:
A major component of this role will focus on activities to drive increased pipeline at the front end of the sales cycle and nurture prospective clients to contribute to the overall future sales pipeline. The successful SDR will secure appointments through continuous prospecting. Both inbound and outbound prospecting will be required with the use of various mediums, while educating and positioning value for prospective clients. The candidate should enjoy working in a collaborative environment and must have a passion for success while meeting and exceeding goals. New logo acquisition is a priority. This position is virtual. Successful candidates will have a chance for promotion to outside sales.  Location in the Washington D.C. area is required.
  
What you’ll do:
  • Create and refine target lists with relevant information for prospecting and driving value-based messaging and brand awareness to the market
  • Research, identify, and prospect for New Clients 
  • Meet or exceed opportunity/appointment quota through phone & email prospecting & lead qualification 
  • Develop and execute on a strong prospecting plan of attack, including calling guides, audience segmentation and approach 
  • Qualify interested candidates and arrange sales appointments 
  • Schedule quality appointments and meetings 
  • Track all relevant qualification and lead management activity (including calls, prospect pipeline, account notes, etc.) 
  • Quickly learn the technical aspects of InQuisient products and effectively communicate the value proposition, while being able to react to objections, competitive questions and other FAQs 
  • Proactively manage your schedule, leads pipeline, and campaigns in order to meet milestones and quarterly objectives 
  • Collaborate successfully with Sales and Management team to optimize team selling productivity 
  • Utilize CRM to document and track activities including meetings, outbound calls and actions, and updating key contacts and stakeholders’ information


Our ideal candidate:

  • BS/BA and 5-10 years of SDR sales and/or sales development experience required
  • Software background required
  • Carahsoft Company experience a plus
  • Federal Government background required
  • Track record of showing success driving qualified meetings 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the astute ability to listen
  • Outstanding time management skills with ability to multitask
  • Ability to learn and understand new products and technology is crucial
  • Ability to adapt to change, take direction, self-evaluate and self-correct
  • Ability to travel and attend events and trade shows
