Salary: $19.25 + Shift Differential

Job Description:

Arrow Electronics is looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals that work well in a fast-paced computer & electronics repair warehouse on Day Hill Road in Windsor, CT. Impeccable attendance is required to stay a part of our team.

This position supports the operation by performing various warehouse functions, product, pulling orders, packaging order based on product type, shipping functions, and supporting other areas of the operation, including receiving, product sort and separation, and recycling.

This position operates from Monday – Friday. Overtime work can be regular and is required based on business goals.

As a Forklift Driver, you will be required to excel in the areas of quality, quantity, teamwork, and work habits. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·       The Forklift Driver is responsible for moving assets/materials safely using power industrial trucks. This position supports the operation by working in one or more of the following areas: receiving, audit, recycling and shipping.

·       Unload and offload trucks, unbox, sort, and label product.

·       Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies and procedures.

·       Verify asset counts, enter skids in system, build skids, palletizing equipment as needed.

·       Identify & sort commodities in recycling center and/or special waste as per EPA and DOT regulations.

·       Ensure quantity, quality, and accuracy of throughput.

·       Ensuring equipment is in safe operating condition by appropriate equipment inspections.

·       Perform the physical activities necessary to receive, sort, package, ship and teardown inventory through the designated work stages in the facility

·       Move inventory to appropriate staging areas for further processing as per the statement of work

·       Verify asset counts, sort, and label product

·       Load and unload product onto the production line to route to the appropriate area

·       Consolidate and prepare pallets for shipment

·       Utilize material handling equipment

·       Maintain system transactions and paperwork that support and validate the processing and disposition of material

·       Ensure quantity, quality, and accuracy of production levels

·       Maintain a safe work environment by following established safety procedures

·       Maintain organization, cleanliness, and 5S standards within facility and daily workspace

·       Collaborate with team members, leads, and supervisors to contribute to department-wide production & quality goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

·       Previous 1-2 years forklift driving experience in warehouse order fulfillment operation

·       Previous experience working in a warehouse operation

·       Ability to regularly operate a computer for basic functions

·       Must have strong attention to detail

·       Ability to identify a variety of computer equipment.

·       Reading, writing, and understanding of English language.

·       This position involves sitting, standing and or walking for considerable lengths of time.  Bending to floor level is required.  Heavy lifting (up to 50Lbs) is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, production, or general labor work environment.

·        Ability to identify basic computer devices including, PC’s, laptops, HDD’s, printers, networking, monitors.

·       .For warehouse jobs: Typically requires 2–5 years of experience. May require specific certifications.
