The purpose of this job is to plan, organize, and implement sales and rental programs for a district team of Educational Representatives, developing a successful and profitable outside sales network, creating demand, creating customers, establishing and maintaining internal and external customer relationships. 

Duty or Responsibility

Stay current on sales reporting, financial data, inventory, and other statistics.

Grow market share through constant competitive analysis and evaluation of products, services and prompt reaction to the market.

Keep up to date with market trends and new developments utilizing information for business improvement.

Establish custom curriculum for Educational Sales Reps.

Meet budgeted rental and sales objectives for the market.

Manage & develop a team of leaders, supporting the growth of associates within the department.

Grow the market by prospecting for new school relationships and affiliates within the market.

Increase sales and traffic in our retail stores by coaching each Ed Rep on store promotional strategies. Increase the productivity and skill set of each Ed Rep by serving as the primary sales trainer.

Visit schools with each Ed Rep on a regular basis to look for growth opportunities and coach on areas for improvement.

Assist Educational Sales Reps on an ongoing basis in the following business areas:

  • Establishing competitive rental rates
  • Market analysis
  • Competitive analysis
  • Inventory control
  • Compliance with company policies & procedures
  • Professional sales techniques
  • Advertising and Promotions
  • Merchandise requests

Develop and maintain relationships with:

  • Retail Stores
  • Affiliate Dealers
  • Repair Shops
  • ESC (Hub) Personnel
  • Merchandising
  • Operations
  • Marketing
  • Schools and Music Educators
  • Competitive Dealers, Potential Acquisitions, New markets
  • Consumers, End Users, Artists

Coordinate and participate in educational conferences and sales events.

    There will be some pushing, pulling and lifting required to load and/or deliver product from the Music & Arts warehouse to the schools or customers, up to 50 lbs of weight.

    Must be able to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends

    Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
