The Atlanta, GA Branch has an excellent opportunity for an Air Export Team Leader. We are looking for a team player with 10+ years experience in the freight forwarding industry, particularly in air cargo. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, customer service, analytic and follow up skills. Very good interpersonal skills, attention to details and a positive, professional demeanor are essential for success. Position reports to the Assistant Manager of Air Cargo. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Primary Duties:

Perform specific and assigned operations and administrative tasks in order to provide high quality customer service while meeting the Company's goals
Prepare all necessary shipping documentation to effectuate proper and legal transport of goods and services both internationally and domestically
Organize and negotiate with air carriers for rates for air cargo booking, consolidation services
Timely and efficiently handle routine Air Export shipments
Handle non-routine, complex shipping transactions for high profile customers
Perform operations tasks in order to provide high quality customer service while meeting the Company's KPI's
Provide professional, customer service by direct customer contact
Responsible for Air Carrier relationships, obtaining and maintaining rates and schedules
Evaluating vendor and carrier performance, taking action to prevent and correct to align their performance with ours
Work effectively with internal departments, other regional branches and offices and all external contacts
Develop and execute continuous improvement processes to increase efficiencies and improve performance for our customers
Ensure customers and operations staff are well informed of changes in customer service requirements and regulatory matters
Align operations, warehouse, vendor and carrier allocated resources for overall efficient cargo operations, balancing cost effective and timely service
Maintain and create local operational SOP's that are compliant with company and regulatory requirements
Collaborate, interpret and implement sales strategies with operations, vendors and carriers
Analyze vendor, carrier cost, volume and routing statistics, among other factors to drive innovative strategies that leverage our strengths to increase margin and revenue
Maintain records and interface with government agencies to meet international trade compliance requirements
Gather and utilize internal, community and trade source data to generate insights that meet company and customer goals
Review carrier and vendor P/L with management on a monthly basis
