Outlet Store Donation Processor

While receiving leadership support from the Outlet Store Team Leader, the Donation Processor will Elevate People, Transform Communities by being responsible for sorting, quality checking and/or pricing and packaging donated materials at the Shiner Center based on agency guidelines. This position also ensures that all activities are performed in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision, values and brand of Goodwill.

Key Responsibilities

1. The Donation Processor will safely and efficiently perform all tasks required to include quality sorting, pricing and packaging of apparel, books, housewares and hazardous donations

2. The Donation Processor will operate and store all equipment in a safe manner including compactor, shrink wrapper, baler, electronic pallet jack, electronic lift, hand pallet jacks, cutters, Tilt Master and hand tools. The person in this role will safely load and unload merchandise from trucks and deliver to proper location within warehouse while keeping the work area neat and clean and the floor clear of debris to prevent safety hazards.

3. The Donation Processor will complete paperwork for assigned area accurately and in a timely manner and follow best practices for all work areas.

  • Work is performed in warehouse conditions with extensive team member contact and frequent interruptions.
  • Primary function requires sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a warehouse and distribution setting with temperatures ranging from 10-95 degrees Fahrenheit; to sit for prolonged periods of time or on your feet most of the day depending on needs; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, twist, lift, carry, push and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight.
  • May operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.
  • Verbally communicate to exchange information.

What I Must Bring

  • High school and/or HSED/GED ispreferred.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Experience with nonprofit organizations is desired.
  • Experience of at least a basic level of competency with computers to complete e-learning opportunities and use G-Wiz.
