Export Specialist needed for a U.S. Customs House Broker/International Freight Forwarder located near Oceanside, NY.
Job Qualifications:
· 3-5 years’ experience in export operations including: freight forwarding, consolidation, Air/Ocean export
· Proficient with MS Office; experience with IES Descartes a plus
· Italian speaking is a plus, however not required
· Dangerous Goods and Radioactive Certificates a plus
· Experience with customs documentation, export compliance, bill of lading creating, bookings creation
· Sharp, fast learner with acute sense for detail
· Interpersonal skills and relationship building qualities
Daily Duties include, but not limited to:
· Make bookings for Air/Ocean freight shipments
· Quote air and ocean shipments
· Air export consolidation
· Prepare all documentation for export shipments
· Coordinate equipment and pickup/delivery of cargo/containers/etc.
· Handle shipments from start to finish
· Other functions as needed
Hours: Mon – Fri 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Salary commensurate with experience plus benefits
