Transport Driver reporting to our facility in Holland, MI

The Transport Driver is responsible for providing unfailing support to Sales and Operations by assuring that the Distribution Centers always have the merchandise to support the Company’s ability to meet or exceed our customers’ needs.

Position Shift and Schedule
This is a full time permanent position working 3:00pm - 3:00am, Monday through Friday.

Position Compensation
This position averages $51,000 in the first year. This position is also eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Bonus eligibility is limited to new employees only.

The position is paid $0.4112 per mile, plus drop and hook and downtime pay. Attractive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k with company match, paid time off, etc).

Position Details:

1. 1. Home DAILY – Out and back to enjoy home time and stability.

2. 2. Consistent daily runs, with assigned truck.

3. 3. No-Touch freight, unless exceptional freight is encountered.

Position Responsibilities:

5. Perform required pre and post trip vehicle inspection and operate vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.

6. Deliver full loads of Dr Pepper Snapple Group brands and, when available, pick up empty containers or pallets for the return trip.

7. Maintain DOT time log (ELD) and other required transport documentation.

8. Transport the right merchandise to the right place at the right time in the most cost effective and safe manner.

9. Be vigilant in assuring safety as well as the cost-efficient maintenance and operation of Company vehicles by: performing daily vehicle inspections and address any concerns immediately, maintaining immediate and open communication regarding road hazards, etc.

10. Exhibit teamwork and communication with the dispatch team and Transport manager.

This position could utilize the following equipment: Tractor Trailer - Semi - Pup Trailer - Box Truck - 28 ft Trailer - 32 ft Trailer - 53 ft Trailer - Delivery Truck - Side Load - Side Bay - Trailer with lift gate - pallet jack - hand truck - dolly

This position could include: Driving - CDL - Class A CDL - Delivery Truck Driver - OTR - Delivery Driver - Customer Delivery - Commercial Driver’s License

Position Responsibilities
  • Perform routine vehicle inspection and operates vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Notify Route Manager of any mechanical problems or issues that occur on vendors, or any changes in account status (i.e. new ownership, account closed, etc).
  • Operate bulk vehicle in the delivery of full Keurig Dr Pepper brands and picks up empty product transport containers or pallets in assigned warehouses.
  • Prepare and extend delivery tickets showing cases placed and credits given; accurate accounting of full and empty goods.
  • Maintain DOT time log and other required transport documentation.
  • Develop and maintain positive Company image in the trade and industry to achieve the Company’s objective for the overall growth and availability of Keurig Dr Pepper.
  • Transport the right merchandise to the right place at the right time in the most cost effective and safe manner.
  • Be vigilant in assuring safety as well as the cost-efficient maintenance and operation of Company vehicles by: performing daily vehicle inspections and address any concerns immediately, maintaining immediate and open communication regarding road hazards, etc., training all new employees in safety procedures and preventative maintenance.
  • Aggressively assist lift drivers in unloading trailers.
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization’s objectives.
  • Exhibit thorough communication with the dispatch team and Transport manager.

Qualifications



  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License A (CDL A)
  • Ability to maintain valid DOT Driver Qualification File
