- Monitor and create reporting against key commodities and contracts, average pricing, year over year reviews, purchase price variance (PPV) analysis, contract compliance, balance remaining, request quotes, etc.
- Perform quarterly Spend Analysis to identify opportunities to improve sourcing for major commodities and costs.
- Assist in sourcing for new items and opportunities identified from Spend Analysis.
- Collect quality concerns with inbound ingredients in a systematic manner.
- Monitor claims with suppliers and carriers.
- Manage a team of two (Supply Chain Specialist and Purchasing Coordinator).
- Work with Sales, Distribution and Finance to create finished goods sales forecasts.
- Manage purchasing process on daily placement of orders and provide backup as needed.
- Assist in developing material and packaging costs for standard and quarterly updates.
- Develop supplier scorecard in partnership with Quality Assurance.
Qualifications
What we require:
- 8+ years of business management experience in Supply Chain (Product Supply, Demand Planning, Scheduling, Logistics, Operations, Warehouse, Materials Management, etc.).
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in ERP Systems (Ross, SAP, Oracle, etc.), and implementation of planning systems (APS, MPS, MRP).
- Knowledge base in Manufacturing Operations and clear understanding of how to deliver both operational and Supply Chain key performance indicators (KPI) simultaneously.
- Analytical and planning skills to establish supply requirements.
- Ability to set, manage and deliver on multiple priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- Certification by APICS, ISM, CSCMP or SCOR.
