Accounting Specialist - Breckenridge Hospitality - Breckenridge Ski Resort

The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for reviewing, researching and correcting the wholesale aging report and VCC (virtual credit cards) for Breckenridge, Tahoe, Canyons and Stowe Resorts.  Also providing support to the front desk and other Vail Resorts locations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Run, verify accuracy and distribute the Wholesale Aging report
• Research and resolve discrepancies on the Wholesale Aging
• Collect and charge VCC’s
• Work closely with the front desk related to checked out folios with a remaining balance
• Notify management with any guest issues or potential write offs to NonZ
• Build working relationship with Wholesalers such as Expedia
• Prepare journal entries
• Collaborate with corporate
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Other Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist with Coupa (PO system) reconciliations
• Assist with timely review and resolution of OnBase (Accounts Payable system)
• Reconcile cash over/short

Job Qualifications:

Required Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

• Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
• Must be a team player that is adaptable to change.
• Strong computer experience required (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong 10-key skills with accuracy.
• PeopleSoft experience a plus.
• LMS experience a plus.

Required Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Associates degree or comparable combined work/education experience.
• Experience with advanced functions in accounting or reconciliations a plus
• Prior experience in the Hospitality field a plus
