We are currently seeking an experienced and energetic Assistant Director of Food Service Operations who can successfully help to lead a dynamic staff in the University Food Service environment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

-Displays high levels of managerial thinking and leadership, as well as proficient computer skills utilizing both Microsoft Office programs and internet capabilities
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills

-Ability to communicate the direction and vision of Provider
-Able to adjust work schedule as needed for operations
-Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and organize work in order to meet deadlines

JOB SPECIFICS:

-Daily labor control: monitors daily actual hours vs budget schedules hours
-Review Scheduling Process; scheduling, posting Nova Time, shift coverage
-Payroll: verifies hours daily with HR and locations managers, confirms hours with payroll variation report before payroll is processed, verifies OT hours are accurate
-Financial Reports: meets with Assistant Director reviews high & low points by location, meets with location managers to review
-Inspections: organizes, distributes, reviews and may conduct all locations inspections.
-Manager Meetings: Conducts one on one meetings weekly with location managers
-Manager Schedules: scheduling of managers, posting Nova Time, assist with shift coverage.
-Verify data of bookkeeper; accounts payable/receivable, weekly billings, reconciliations
-Monitors checks & balances; safe counts, gift cards. Alerts Directors of any abnormalities
-One on One director meetings: weekly review of all manager one on one meetings with assistant director
-Manage, Direct Collaborate; may include one or more others in performing same tasks
-Catering: Oversee off site and on site catering events, special on campus events, ensures management oversite or presents at every event
-Tracks Special Events; Oversee ADC monotony breakers, décor, design, set up, tear down

General Job Duties

-Estimated work percentages, 40% field, 40% administrative, 20% other tasked
-Assists with day-to-day management of food service operations for single Provider account
-Works to train and supervise management level employees
-Support location managers in troubleshooting day to day operations
-Review schedules, labor needs and maintain cost control
-Provides coaching, leadership and training for a diverse work force; including new manager orientation and scheduling of management coverages
-Maintains maximum productivity, safety and sanitation standards for the organization
-Oversees locations’ ability to meet labor regulations and health and safety standards
-Maintain adherence to Provider mission and vision and ensure operations continually follow the set guidelines put forth by the company vision and brand compliance
-Ability to work at a fast pace
