Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Business Office Support I for a temp to hire opportunity in Asheville, NC with our partner, one of the leading providers of document / electronic content management services and solutions.

The Business Office Support I Prep will compile, and assemble documentation accurately and consistently in high volume and time-sensitive production scanning atmosphere. Maintaining quality and error free work. Handle confidential and sensitive information with high integrity.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Log accountable mail into ISSI.
  • Process undeliverable mail to include researching client information, scanning returned envelopes and resending updated addressed mail to clients in Buncombe County.
  • Retrieve and distribute incoming and outgoing mail in designated worker and reception areas.
  • Preparing outgoing hearing packets according to established methodology.
  • Researching duplicate client information.
  • Provide departmental support when needed including changes and special projects.
  • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
  • Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and conduct business in an ethical manner at all times.
  • Processing County transfers not requiring data extraction from client systems.
  • Assist with tasking applications and reviews in rotation in QFlow, Compass and NC FAST.
  • Preparing mail-out packets not requiring data extraction.
  • Additional duties may be assigned

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Word Processing software: spreadsheet software and database software a plus.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Must be able to key data accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to set priorities and organize.
  • Ability to willingly accept work direction from multiple parties and work as part of a team.
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA and ADAAA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but un-involved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Database software.
  • Data entry skills of 50 WPM preferred

Additional Information:
  • Temp to hire
  • 35-40 hours per week
  • 8:30 am - 5:00 pm during training (first two weeks) then converts to 9 am - 5:30 pm shift (M-F)
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
