Primary job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Perform breakdown analysis
Repair a variety of commercial kitchen equipment
Perform preventative maintenance as recommended and general housekeeping on and around machinery
Upgrade equipment with new components and install new equipment and technology
Complete odd jobs including plumbing and carpentry
Comply with GMP, safety and audit standards
Work well with team members and outside contractors
Must-have qualifications and experience:
Excellent work ethic with ability to self-manage and document work completed and records/receipts
Ability to read and apply schematics and technical manuals
Mechanical systems such as gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings
Compressors in refrigeration and HVAC systems
Electronics (level probes, flow meters and drives/VFDs) and Electrical Systems (starters, fuses, contacts and relays)
Pumps (motors, seals and general trouble-shooting)
Pneumatic, mechanical and hydraulic equipment
Ability to work continuously near heat, noise, gas and chemicals. There is frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending and kneeling.
Full-time availability with weekends and periodic holiday work.
