Job Overview:   The Omni Buyer will create a distinguished Bloomingdale's through buying merchandise to maximize sales and profitability of business across channels (stores and online). The Omni Buyer will develop and implement strategy by vendor; partner with planning to analyze and react to sales trend while maximizing both store and web generated business. The Omni Buyer is responsible to achieve company sales, gross margin, and turnover objectives and will partner with planning to use standard reports and analysis to inform pre-season and in-season buying strategies. The Omni Buyer must lead an engaged workforce by simplifying work, driving standardization and ensuring empowerment of employees.   Essential Functions: Buy and curate distinctive merchandise to maximize sales and profitability.  Evaluate and negotiate with market for desirable exclusives. Strengthen relationships with vendors and negotiate terms of the buy with the vendor. Provide the Digital Merchant the assortment strategy information to facilitate the online execution of merchandise strategy. Collaborate with planning to develop pre-season financial plans that will maximize business across both channels. Manage all pricing functions to maximize profitability across both channels (store and online). Strategically plan, manage and control inventory inclusive of the ROF to maximize sales and margin. Provide information to Omni DMM to inform online and offline marketing strategies and offline visual strategies. Collaborate with Fashion Office to develop and procure trend-right product assortments Determine in-season reaction to product performance. Based on planners analysis, determine quantity and which styles / colors should be reordered and vendor's availability for the reorder. Negotiate with vendors for collection of RTV and MDA money. Create / update VMT's for monthly ROF and vendor communication. Ensure all items are appearing on web Qualifications: Strong partnership skills; able to broker mutually beneficial outcomes with stakeholders internally and externally. Minimum of 1-2 years prior buying experience. Keen sense of trend and industry knowledge. Strong analytical and strategic abilities. Understands how to influence others for desired outcome. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong PC skills. Flexibility in responding to changing priorities. 4 year College Degree required. This job description is not all inclusive.
