PURPOSE OF POSITION

Under the direction of the Property Manager, the Custodian II performs routine recurring and non-recurring functions related to the House Department in accordance with the policies, procedures and standards of the Association and the Branch.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist Property Manager in training new personnel in all phases of housekeeping in accordance with association standards and branch training plans.
2. Assist in tracking of housekeeping supplies to insure sufficient supply is always available.
3. Actively promote the association and branch safety program.
4. Strip, wax, buff and otherwise maintain wooden and non-wooden floors.
5. Extract, vacuum and otherwise maintain carpets.
6. Sanitize restrooms, locker rooms; shower areas, sauna and steam rooms.
7. Dust and high dust.
8. Clean windows and mirrors.
9. Empty trashcans and sanitize trashcans.
10. Pick up trash and debris on parking lot, facility grounds and perimeter.
11. Inspect and replace light bulbs.
12. Insure the safe operation of all facility equipment.
13.Assist maintenance personnel as required.
14.Clean lockers, doors, dispensers, drinking fountains, benches, chairs, sinks, countertops, and appliances.
15. Do laundry, keep towels and cleaning tools clean and functional.
16. Maintain an organized workspace.

18.Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, driveways and parking lot.
19.Set up and tear down tables and chairs for various functions.
20. Perform all assigned duties necessary to keep the facilities clean, safe and in proper working order in accordance with the policies, procedures and standards of the Association and the Branch.
21. Maintain whirlpool, sauna and steam rooms.
22. Other related duties as assigned.
23. Perform all duties with honesty, caring, respect and responsibility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

1. Present a positive can do attitude, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
2. Complete all jobs assigned in a timely manner.
3. Effectively use such tools as vacuums, mops, carpet extractors, buffers, wrenches, screw drivers, and the like.
4. Interact with the members and guests in a positive way.
5. Perform repairs.
6. Comply and enforce safety and sanitation requirements.
