Outside Calibration Technician
Automation Personnel Services, Inc. Is now hiring for Outside Calibration Technician for Montgomery, Alabama! Experience is a must for this position!
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Primary responsibility is to maintain, test and repair a variety of instrumentation and equipment for customers.
The calibrator technician will make sure that instruments, gauges and testing devices are calibrated correctly and give accurate readings.
Must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to work with a variety of machinery, including analytical and electronic measuring devices. Recording and indicating instruments, electrical, mechanical and electromechanical equipment.
Calibration technicians regularly interact with engineers and laboratory management. Strong communication, verbal, written, vision, and math skills are required.
Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
May work in heavy testing environments, subject to loud noise and other workplace hazards.
Overnight travel required to serve out of town customers and related training.
Reports and Billing:
Review ADV customer records prior to providing service to determine credit status, payment type and review customer history.
Keep proper records to ensure that all calibration devices are maintained in good working order, calibrated and current.
Update Customer Notification System (CNS) as soon as practically possible to maintain current information.
Company Provided Equipment:
Maintain company provided van in a safe, clean, neat and organized to present a positive image and protect all tools, equipment and other company property.
Keep current Driver License and adhere to all traffic laws while operating company vehicles.
Adhere to policy regarding company provided cell phone, laptop computer and uniform.
Shift: 1ST Shift
Some overtime may be required.
Pay Rate: (DOE)
Duration: Direct Hire Position
Requirements:
Background and Drug Testing is required.
Must be 18 years or older.
Proper unexpired documents required to complete the Federal I-9 process.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
