SUMMARY

Maintain lodges and base area facilities for our guests and employees to provide a memorable guest experience. Maintain clean restrooms, public spaces, stock supplies, assist guests with locker problems, and clear snow from walkways, stairs and entryways. Rotate through laundry and garment cleaning duties.  Participate in the receiving and distribution of delivered packages, freight, and groceries. Assist with minor plumbing repairs, light carpentry, and painting. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years or older. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and understand documents related to safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and procedure manuals. The employee will need to demonstrate the understanding of and the ability to utilize basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The ability to understand instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form. Applicant must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Assist guests with locker issues
  • Remove snow from fire exits, building entrances, stairs, and walkways using shovels and snow melting products
  • Follow all safety and operating procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and equipment
  • Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
  • Clean restrooms including sinks, floors, garbage cans, and toilets.
  • Stock paper, hand soaps, and personnel hygiene supplies.
  • Cleans guest seating areas including wiping down tables, emptying garbage, sweeping floors, washing windows, etc
  • Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings
  • Separating, washing, drying, and folding garments
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
  • Steam-clean or shampoo carpets
  • Gather and empty trash and recycling
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
  • Stock supply closets with necessary supplies for the continued function of the department
  • Participate in the receiving and distribution of delivered packages and freight
  • Assist with minor plumbing repairs, light carpentry, and painting
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and slippery, icy, snowy walking surfaces. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
