The Forecaster will be responsible for developing and maintaining SKU level demand forecasts and associated order plans within our forecasting system.

 

Duty or Responsibility

Develop weekly SKU-level sales and receipt forecasts based on parameters set by Inventory Manager and buying group. Also recommend adjustments as appropriate.

Maintain a proper item service level, ensuring proper stock levels in line with current sales trends and existing parameters.

Create, maintain, and track weekly purchase orders. Communicate with vendors on supplemental receipt needs based on sales trends and stock availability.

Review the in-stock position and availability of all potential advertised items. Communicate to the merchant group and Inventory Manager about any concerns.

Re-forecast sales and receipts on a monthly basis, making adjustments based on sales trends, vendor availability, and current stock position.

Review weekly items that have either performed over or under the prior week's sales forecast along with a mid-week review of any SKUs outperforming current week's sales forecast and make appropriate receipt adjustments.

Communicate to merchant group along with Inventory Manager on sales performance of new items relative to established expectations. If necessary, recommend action to capitalize on fast sellers and minimize liability on slow sellers.
