Albertsons Safeway is working to become the favorite food and drug retailer in every market it serves. The Supply Chain Department has an opening for an Inventory Control Analyst. This position is located in Auburn, WA.

 Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Schedules and coordinates all physical inventories and cycle counts. Prepares physical inventory recaps on a timely basis for distribution to management. Reviews and develops inventory control procedures as appropriate. Identifies and resolves all internal shrink problems.

 - Coordinates changes to the inventory for damage, spoilage, vendor returns, department changes, pack changes, and continuity returns with the Accounting Manager and accounting staff.

 - Reviews warehouse outs and inventory adjustments daily.

 - Periodically analyzing inventory trends, reviewing and monitoring daily reports that include: daily inventory adjustments, inventory movement report, code date report and other inventory related reports.

 - Works with Procurement to resolve excess inventory problems and short-coded product. Monitors store returns and salvage programs.

 - Maintains record retention program in compliance with corporate guidelines and policies.

 - Quarterly audits parts and supply inventories to ensure accuracy.

 - Performs related duties as assigned by Manager.

 Qualifications:

 - General knowledge of applications and computer capabilities. Experience using calculators and other office equipment with the ability to enter data accurately to maintain various databases.

 - Effective organizational and interpersonal skills that allow you to manage several tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Effective communication and follow through on projects is a must.

 - Must be able to work independently and make independent judgements. It is important that the candidate have the ability to think strategically and possess analytical skills that will allow them to generate, review and analyze various reports.

 - Working knowledge and experience of the Supply Chain process and understanding of the picking process and storage operations in the dry grocery and perishable departments is a plus.

 - Must be available to work flexible hours as needed including weekends.

 Physical Environment:

 - Some work is performed under general office conditions in a temperature-controlled environment.

- Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.

- Working environment temperature will vary from -10F to 75F, depending on location and/or season.

- During part of the workday the incumbent will be moving about the Distribution Center warehouse floor and potential hazards exist in regard to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, movement of tractors and trailers, etc.

 Applicable Qualifications and Experience:

- Recently graduated from college with a degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent experience.

- College coursework in critical thinking, analyzing and interpreting financial data reports.

- Possess good communication skills, both oral and written. Deal effectively with a wide variety of people both in person and over the phone.

- Seeks out opportunities to partner with other people, teams, and departments to achieve goals.

- Focuses on serving the needs of both internal and external customers and stakeholders.

- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work and multi-task.
