PROCESS ENGINEER / CHEMICAL ENGINEER
Summary/Objective
The Process Engineer / Chemical Engineer performs work to support client’s strategic business initiatives through product composition, application design, development, post-mortem analysis and troubleshooting product performance. MUST HAVE A STRONG CHEMISTRY BACKGROUND.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the design, continuous improvement, and troubleshooting
of all Grain Plant processes - Support EHS Coordinator in issues of the Plant
- Recommend, specification and design of process equipment
- Planning and execution, and documentation of engineering projects and trials
- Work in tandem with Grain Plant Supervisor to implement process improvements
- Provide technical assistance to Sales and Marketing in the support of customer product quality requirements
- Identify, develop, and implement new process methods, raw materials, and equipment in support of new products, cost reduction, and quality improvement
- Support internal and regulatory reporting requirements including, but not limited to, air, storm water, and surface water discharge
- Primary contact for and ensure company legislative compliance obligations with OSHA, ODH, EPA, permits, etc.
- Keep abreast of safety and environmental laws and regulation changes that can impact the company
