Cook

Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Follows a menu to prepare and cook meats, fish, poultry, gravies, soups, vegetables and other foods according to proper preparation methods.
  • Must cut, broil, sauté, & fry.
  • Practices safe food handling and clean up at all times.
  • Prepare food prep and production recipes per the current Red Robin recipe book.
  • Responsible for unpacking and organizing received goods.
  • Light cleaning required.
  • Work may be fast paced and a high degree of quality and accuracy are required.

Required/Preferred Education:

HS degree or equivalent preferred

Years of Experience Preferred/Required:

  • 0-2 years related experience
  • Has strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Must have ability to accurately handle money, make change, process credit card transactions and have strong menu knowledge.

Other Requirements:

  • Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • May lead work of others.
  • Must maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time, have strong menu knowledge, and have ability to accurately read, organize and coordinate tickets
  • Typically works under general supervision and reports to an KM.
