Gather Operator - Full-time / Part-time

From stitching and binding to special coatings, embossing, intricate folds, die cutting, and 1-to-1 inkjet messaging, our Finishing team uses the industry’s most advanced technology to transform ink on paper into finished pieces that grab consumers’ attention and drive sales and readership for our customers.

Job Description Quad/Graphics is currently seeking a Gather Operator to work in the Midland, Michigan facility.  Job duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

• The primary function of this position is to set up, maintain and run all Perfect Binders at the highest level attainable with emphasis on the gathering section

• Produce and maintain best attainable quality, possess and display leadership skills, assist in evaluating crew

• Assist in evaluating production capabilities, assist Shift Supervisor as required

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of perfect binder operation, knowledge of and experience with mailing operations and equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read, understand and follow binder guides, ability to train and direct crew, self-motivated
• Excellent attendance record, satisfactory job performance in current position, excellent safety record and work habits
• Positive attitude and team player (able to work with others)
• Able to work any shift and work overtime as needed.
