Job Purpose: Two to three sentences describing the overall purpose of the job
Set up and breakdown function rooms for all convention, meeting and banquet events. Support departmental services in response meetingplanner and operational specifications with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities: Maximum of ten responsibilities, in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that doesnot represent at least 10% of the job's time. Please include supervisory responsibilities.
1.
Set up function room equipment to include tables, chairs, risers, and other items used for convention, meeting and banquet functions.
2.
Refill water pitchers and refresh rooms during meeting breaks.
3.
Maintain cleanliness of all function rooms, service and storage areas to include sweeping, vacuuming and mopping.
4.
Maintain all equipment and special items used for convention, meeting and banquet functions.
5.
Assist large convention groups with the loading and transport of materials such as AV equipment, marketing displays, boxes etc.
6.
Deliver boxes and materials from storage areas to assigned meeting rooms.
7.
Load and unload trucks transporting conference and meeting related materials and equipment.
8.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
No initial experience required. Simple math skills preferred. Ability to understand conversational English preferred.
