Position Summary:

Lead and direct team of procurement professionals to deliver enterprise global sourcing strategies for best total value. Develop a vision for best in class sourcing for $2B spend category. Establish multi-year strategic plans to enable business goals. Champion corporate social responsibility and supplier diversity leadership programs. Collaborate internally at all levels, across all business units and the supply base to support business sourcing objectives. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions:

• Manage business unit and department processes/practices to ensure program alignment with enterprise business goals/objectives
• Prepare, communicate and educate client groups and team on policy and practice changes
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies; ratify commodity risk management recommendations
• Manage sourcing strategies in areas of high financial or brand risk to the Company
• Develop and leverage strong professional relationships with strategic suppliers and industry players
• Employ market leading knowledge of key global industry players, competitors and dynamics to identify               potential
• Influence external company presidents and governmental policy or standard practice within the industry
• Ensure partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements
• Analyze processes/procedures to develop strategy, fulfillment requirements, cost, quality and inventory levels
• Leverage market data/cost modeling to support the development of negotiation strategies that deliver maximum value to the organization
• Develop/utilize “should cost” methods to drive understanding of what product costs should be, identify gaps, coach team and execute
• Effectively manage cost of direct/indirect material purchases
• Utilize the total cost of ownership model to monitor/manage supply chain strategies
• Ensure all purchasing activities are managed within budget, maintaining the highest level of ethics
• Champion supplier development and risk management strategies
• Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties: complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education:        

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business management
• 8 years of supply chain/similar experience
• Experience sourcing international/domestic vendors/products
• Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles/practices
• Advanced analytical skills/problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of critical procurement legal requirements and contracting best practices
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Able to effectively utilize program and project management tools and techniques
• 6 years of supply chain experience, responsibility for $2B-$4B spend (pay level - 11)

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• MBA or Master degree in related field
• Seasonal business experience
• Experience with toll processing, rebill programs or directed buy for suppliers
• 10 years of Global strategic sourcing/procurement experience, preferably in a high growth, retail/manufacturing/CPG environment
