Service Technician - Job Description:

The Automotive Service Technician performs diagnosis, repair and replacement of automotive parts and accessories according to technical certification and skill level.

Service Technician - Job Responsibilities:

• Perform work as outlined on repair order accurately in accordance with dealership and factory standards
• Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
• Notify service advisor if additional work outlined is not needed and/or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised
• Accurately document work performed
• Road test vehicles when required
• Other duties may be assigned according to expertise and certifications
