This position supervises daily operations of Murdock’s Café and assists with a focus on exceptional guest service.  Two F&B Team Lead Supervisors will oversee Cafe Attendants at Murdocks Cafe and assist with some opening/closing duties for Umbrella Bar.  The AM Supervisor will be responsible for opening shifts into afternoon shifts and the PM Supervisor will responsible for afternoon into closing.  Together along with the Assistant Manager, they will ensure that staff and the restaurant environments are meeting/exceeding the expectations of the Vail Brand Standards, as well as meeting/exceeding the goals measuring guest satisfaction.  Join our team and enjoy perks such as a Free Epic Pass for yourself & your dependents, lodging, retail/rental, and restaurant discounts, free leadership classes, career development opportunities, and so much more!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Accurately conduct daily reports and audits
  • Responsible for timekeeping and daily supervision of front of house staff.
  • Accurately adjust staffing to daily business levels
  • Investigates and resolves guest complaints
  • Assist with training of front of house food & beverage service personnel
  • Know and enforce local, state and federal regulations for the sale and distribution of alcohol
  • Hold and document daily pre-shift meetings and conduct all staff meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or equivalent – required  
  • Bachelor’s Degree – preferred
  • Minimum 4 years restaurant experience – preferred
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience – required
  • Valid Utah driver's license – required within 14 days of start date
  • Purchasing software, MS office suite, POS experience – preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – required
  • TIPS certification & Utah Food Handler’s Card obtained within 14 days of employment – required
