The Intermediate Rental Technician is responsible for generating rental sales through world-class guest service, assisting customers with rental equipment, and monitoring rental department appearance and merchandise displays. Possessing in-depth knowledge of rental concepts, practices and procedures, the Intermediate Rental Technician trains new and existing associates. 

AS AN INTERMEDIATE RENTAL TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL:

• Perform as a skilled rental technician, responsible for performing more complex tasks involved in rental concepts, practices and procedures. 
• Work closely with Rental Supervisor to ensure all operations are performed to provide the best possible guest experience.
• Open and/or close rental department to meet daily shift goals.
• Responsible for the cash handling procedures of the rental RPOS point-of-sale system.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Possess a broad in-depth knowledge of rental equipment  
• Explain to guests how to operate rental equipment, safety practices and guest responsibility for the equipment during the rental including length of rental and return options
• Ensure equipment on the rental "ready" line is ready to make a successful rental by cleaning, servicing, and testing according to established service requirements
• Follow all company standards in regards to paperwork, cash management and loss prevention standards; including securing and counting all required cash.
• Deliver an enthusiastic and professional level of customer service at all times
• Identify customer riding ability, basic foot identification and measurements (length, width, overall shape, size, etc.)
• Drive business by increasing units per transaction and average dollar per sale
• Serve as a resource and knowledge base for new and existing employees
• Other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience, skills, and training are required to perform successfully at this level.
• Excellent customer service skills; ability to handle multiple customers and projects at one time
• Must be at least 18 years of age – Required   
• High School graduation or equivalent – Preferred
• At least 1 year relevant work experience – Required
• Rental equipment trouble-shooting knowledge – Preferred
• Ability to inspect and test simple tools and equipment – Preferred
