Hosts at Mt. Brighton maintain order and flow of seating all guests in the dining room of the ski area restaurant. Hosts work efficiently and courteously with guests (both internal and external), exhibit enthusiasm, positivity, and high energy. Mt. Brighton contributes, promotes and demonstrates Vail Resorts' mission Experience of a Lifetime for all of our guests and our team as our daily goal.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide superior guest service, greeting the guest without delay and escorting the guest to the table.
• Anticipate guest needs prior to being asked and work closely with the wait staff team.
• Determine proper station rotation to ensure the best possible guest service experience.
• Work as a team player and communicate effectively with both front and back of the house.
• Ensure first class experiences for all who visit.
• Communicate effectively to contribute to the proper functioning of the dining room as part of a team.
• Maintain a clean and neat workplace and dining room area, including the performance of daily cleaning and side work tasks.
• Be available to fill in as needed any capacity to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age – Preferred
• Must be willing to work holidays and weekends – Required
• High School graduation or equivalent – Preferred

• Previous food and beverage experience – Preferred
• Professionalism and strong customer service skills, attention to detail and timeliness
• Good personal hygiene and neat appearance
• Ability to work well with others while maintaining a positive attitude
• Ability to engage with customers courteously and efficiently at all times

• Must be able to work independently or in a small team to accomplish daily tasks
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form (in English)
• Ability to meet physical demands of the position including: stand for long periods of time; bend, lift and carry heavy objects up to 25 lbs; walking, climbing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
