Mt. Brighton is looking for enthusiastic, positive and high energy individuals to join our team! Race Crew IT is a seasonal position which will focus on the NASTAR Race venue. This includes but is not limited to assisting with setup and tear-down of all aspects of the venue, assisting with daily operations of the Race Department and having fun!! The Race Crew will work closely with the Race & Product Sales Manager along with the Ski School Manager and affiliated race professionals to provide a safe, fun and efficient public race venue.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setup, use and breakdown all timing equipment
- Coordinates with internal/external contacts
- Maintains start/finish areas, raking, shoveling, gate and safety equipment repairs
- Shovels snow on a regular basis
- Provides exceptional guest service to all visitors
- Gives directions around the mountain as well as advise guests about on-mountain facilities.
- Accounts for all sales/tickets sold/money collected
- Assists with other department activities as required
- Other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proactive, outgoing customer service and communication skills.
- Computer/data entry skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to 6 hours.
- Ability to speak read and communicate clearly in English.
- Available Wednesday evenings, Saturday/Sunday days
- Any experience in course setting, and/or race experience, would be highly desirable.
- Able to ski or snowboard at an intermediate or better level
