What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Assist with prepping furniture orders and ensure orders are ready for next day delivery
  • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be repaired, touched up, or needing replacement
  • Assist with stocking and restocking of repair tool kits
  • Inspect all merchandise and perform wood filling, burning and upholstery detail when required
  • Identify issues and discrepancies with items listed and make necessary repairs
What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 or months of related experience or training
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends
  • Ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
It'd be great if you also have:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence on damaged pieces
  • Ability to match color, burn and fill wood, and determine if merchandise is irreparable
