SUMMARY DUTIES

 

The Pizza Maker is responsible for the preparation of quality food in a timely and professional manner. Making Pizzas, Stromboli, Stuffed Pizzas and Garlic Rolls while adhering to VILLA recipes and standards are some of the key ingredients in this position. The Pizza Maker will ensure quantity and quality of raw ingredients at the pizza counter and in the pizza cooler. The Pizza Maker is the “visual master” providing a first impression for the Guest and has the responsibility to present a neat and professional appearance at all times. This position provides an opportunity in a career for advancement within VRG. Demonstrating teamwork, superior hospitality, excellence in safety and sanitation and high-quality standards are vital components to the success of this position. This Pizza Maker is consistently focused on teamwork, willing to go above and beyond to get the job done.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES

 

•    100% completion of VRG iLEARN Training required and as new chapters are added

•    Exhibit the iCARE Hospitality Culture promises: iSEE, iSAY, iSMILE

•    Have a positive attitude and wear a smile!!! (it is part of your uniform)

•    Show respect and courtesy for Team Members and Guests

•    Prepares all pizza related products in accordance to the Recipe Manual

•    Appropriately judges the volume of sales in relationship to pizza preparation and production

•      Consistently demonstrate the correct preparation procedures in accordance to the recipe manual including: dough management, use of dough mold, dough stretching, sauce application, ingredients distribution and oven rotation

•    Label and date all dough, sauce, cheese and chopped vegetables

•    Ensure quality and freshness all the time

•    Use proper par levels for shift business volume, prep to high quality with minimal waste

•    Must know where and how to store products and utensils correctly

•    Be on time and in full uniform, well organized and efficient throughout for every shift

•    Uphold all Federal/State laws/regulations and company standards/procedures

•    Ensure that all quality and Health/Safety requirements are met in accordance with Federal, State,

& Local Standards and Company, OSHA and Health Department Standards

•    Apply proper tact and good taste to all conversations

 

•    Report any safety hazards to management immediately

•    Assist in providing a safe working environment for all Team Members

•    Do not take any risks where safety is concerned

•    Assist management with food regulations by making sure food portions are followed

•    Be aware of all menu items and special promotions

•    If you are not serving the guest, be serving someone that is

•    Help and assist management in keeping the restaurant clean and organized

•      Work as part of a team to wash, rinse, sanitize and put away dishes that accumulate in the kitchen

•    Accept constructive criticism from all levels of management and fellow co-workers- don’t take it

personally

•    Maintain constant, consistent communication between yourselves and management

•      Set high expectations for yourself and for the team. Do not compromise your standards and beliefs

•    Have tremendous energy and enthusiasm when you work

Requirements

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

•    Must be at least18 years of age

•    Excellent communication as well as interpersonal skills with Guests and Team

•    Be a good leader as well as a good follower

•    Must have reliable transportation to and from work

•    Flexible work schedules (including weekends & Holidays)

•    Complete Tasks in a timely manner
