What you'll be doing:
- Oversees maintenance projects and operations for a 1.5 Million Sq. Ft. Distribution Center (DC)
- Coordinates in partnership with the maintenance management team across shifts to manage and prioritize long term and short term projects to satisfy production and building needs.
- Supervises the maintenance staff. Engage, develop, and motivate associates while ensuring morale is at a high level by conducting coaching conversations, setting performance goals, and by participating in reviews of performance.
- Collaborate with management, supervisors as well as internal and external partners to establish priorities to satisfy production needs.
- Develop strong communication and partnership within the department and across the operation to ensure a smooth transition from one shift to the next.
- Maintains efficiency and safety of all equipment. Monitors daily operations and directs action as required.
- Coordinates with local contractors and vendors for equipment and services as required.
- Orders parts and equipment and obtains services for repairs and maintenance of the facility’s equipment.
- College preferred or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of experience overseeing heavy mechanical equipment including but not limited to conveyor systems and industrial powered equipment
- Minimum of two years in a leadership role
- Must have general knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC systems, water systems, building repairs and facility maintenance
- Strong knowledge of building codes, trade standards and general practices within the maintenance field
- Strong communication, organizational, and negation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Monday through Thursday 5:45PM - 4:15AM
