About this job
Our Client is seeking a Mechanical Designer:
Responsibilities:
* Develop and release engineering component and assembly 3D models and associated drawings.
* Develop Bills of Material for custom and semi-custom equipment.
* Review and check production drawings for dimensional, system, and technical accuracy.
* Coordinate and perform changes generated from engineering reviews and manufacturing markups.
* Perform design for assembly and manufacturing assessments on components and assemblies.
* Work with Engineering to ensure proper design procedures and standards are met.
* Work with vendors and utilize outside sources as necessary to complete design or prototype.
* Must be able to multi-task projects and meet customer requirements while maintaining production schedule.
Needs (Must Have):
- AutoDesk Inventor (now also open to Solidworks)
- minimum of 2 years (ideally 5+ years)
Like to Have:
- Sheet Metal or Piping experience
- machine design
- running BOM's via an ERP system (they use Syspro)
Education:
- AAS in Drafting or equivalent experience
Position Requirements: - Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Experience with sheet metal, welding, power trains, refrigeration systems, etc.
- Experience with engineering projects including warranty reductions, cost reductions, and upgrades to current products.
