Position Overview: 
The Receiving Supervisor (evening shift) directs all receiving and warehouse activities, including truck unloading, issuing ingredients, delegating tasks to warehouse workers. 
 
Our ideal candidate should have minimum 3 years’ experience within the consumer Manufacturing Industry. A proven track record in documentation for all logistics operations, inventory control, procedure, task delegation and employee development. Preferred experience with inventory scanning systems. Must be an excellent problem-solver with ability to communicate with senior management as well as motivate team members to meet departmental objectives and organizational skills. 
 
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Coordinates and ensures cycle count intervals are maintained as assigned and ensure continuous inventory accuracy through routine reconciliation of inventories.  
  • Investigates inventory discrepancies and make adjustments as approved. 
  • Participates in month end inventory count and reconciliation process. 
  • Monitors receiving schedules and carrier appointment times and ensure work is performed in accordance and informs appropriate parties of issues as required. 
  • Performs regular product inspections and audits of warehouse handling practices. 
  • Monitors inventory and order fill/backorder requirements to identify product shortages or other issues, follow up to resolve. 
  • Works with managers and peers to recommend changes to and implement regional warehouse processes and procedures. 
  • Works closely with relevant departments to ensure that internal and external customers are being adequately serviced. 
  • Ensures a safe and healthy workplace and identify and correct unsafe practices. 
  • Understands and manages employees within company policies. 
  • Creates work schedules for warehouse employees. 
  • Monitors and validates employee swipe records in timekeeping system. 
  • Tracks and monitors employee attendance issues and maintain attendance database. 
  • Ensures the team is aligned with departmental goals and provides regular feedback and performance assessment and take action to address performance gaps. 
  • Participates and assists in creating a culture of continuous improvement focused on health and safety, quality, efficiency, customer service and cost. 
  • Performs Health, Safety, and 5S audits and facilitates various crew meetings including daily Crew shift meeting and monthly safety meetings. 
  • Performs other related duties as required. 
  • Accomplishes warehouse on floor objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees. 
  • Communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures. 
  • Meets warehouse operational standards by implementing SOPs , maintain quality, resolving problems and identifying warehouse system improvements. 
  • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements. 
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. 
  • Accomplishes warehouse and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
