Job Summary
Under supervision of a Qualified Trainer, operates a limited range of Shell room equipment to produce coated Sprues ready for metal alloy
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
•Monitors critical process parameters and accurately reports results on shop floor work orders, charts, logs, and Data Collection systems.
•Operates within procedural guidelines regarding tolerance bands with pH, viscosity, temperature, shell weights and times.
•Completes all documentation requirements in compliance with GMPs and GDP practices.
•Performs daily cleaning requirements according to 6S guidelines.
•Performs scheduled TPM of fluidizer tanks, drying cabinets, slurry tanks, and replenishment of face-coat and back-up slurries.
•Performs proper formulation creation of slurries when required.
•Is trained on the manual applications for dip and seal of sprues.
•Is trained on loading and unloading of the Robotic dip and seal process.
•Is trained on the general knowledge of Robotic programs for job sequencing.
•Is trained on loading and unloading for the Dewax operation involving the BoilerClave furnace functions.
•Is trained on all safety requirements involving PPE and shut down procedures.
•Is trained on how to take immediate corrective actions per established procedures.
•Is trained on rotation of roles in the general shell room area and can perform each adequately.
•Is trained on maintaining and providing adequate material supplies for the oncoming shift.
•Completes defined tasks with supervision to achieve acceptable output and quality levels.
•Communicates with peers to exchange information at shift changeovers
•Performs other tasks as directed by Management
Expected Areas of Competence
•Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures
•Abilities to interpret digital readouts from gages and software systems. Adds and subtracts in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
•Carries out detailed written or oral instructions.
•Deals with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situation
Education/Experience Requirements
Requires a high school education or equivalent.
