Entry-Level Wastewater Operator
Job Description:
- Operate valves, pumps, motors, and other related equipment within operational parameters
- Process - Water comes in, oil floats to top, skim off oil on top. Solids Float to the bottom. Middle layer of water is then transported to next tank in the process. Testing to make sure the correct amount of nitrogen is present so it is not flammable. Open a valve and water collects into the bottle.
- Cleaning and upkeep
- Basic analysis - Use hand operated pumps and tubes
- 80% of the job is outside (provided with rain gear, fire suit, winter coats, etc)
- Starting pumps and using pumps to transfer liquids (oils and water) between tanks and turning valves. Starting pumps and shredders, turning valves
- Follow standard operating procedures
- Working with Outlook, Word, and Excel for administrative duties such as maintaining operational logs and charts
Work Environment:
80% of the job is outside, the company will provide all proper equipment and fire protectant clothing
Hours:
4:30am-4:30pm (Mon-Fri) Must also be open to working overtime and weekends if needed
Qualifications:
- Ambition - want to learn, career ambitious
- Attendance - want to come to work
- Mechanically Inclined is a plus - pliers, screwdriver.
- Comfortable working at heights
